Dr. Evangeline Bays Clark, also known as Evange or Nharah in the arts and crafts scene, has been a Huntsville resident since 2007. Alongside running two small businesses located in historic Lowe Mill, namely Peculiar Preserves and Sparkle Studio, she also provides specialized business consulting services to creatives.

In addition to her entrepreneurial ventures, Dr. Clark has a small farm where she raises chickens, dairy goats, and bees. As a fiber arts instructor, she teaches traditional and historic styles of the fiber arts across the country.

Peculiar Preserves, her craft food company, specializes in small-batch jams, jellies, and preserves that showcase unique flavor profiles. The company's ethos is to use local seasonal produce as much as possible while maintaining the highest standards of flavor and quality. Dr. Clark's passion for food preservation and historical flavors enables her to create jams and jellies that draw from the best parts of past foods while inventing new and exciting flavor combinations. While many of her jams are savory and more suited to the charcuterie board than the peanut butter sandwich or the piping hot biscuit, Peculiar Preserves also has a range of sweet, boozy adult jams.
