Functional Ceramics with Jessica Smith

February 9 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Indulge your inner artist in this one-day ceramic workshop suitable for the teenager or adult. Each participant will be guided along as we take a lump of clay and turn it into a functional ceramic plate. Basic forming techniques will be introduced. You will also learn about a technique called “sprigging,” which is a molding process suitable for functional and sculptural ware. Please note that your work must be fired in a kiln and will not be immediately available to take home. They will be taken off site, fired and then will be available for pick up on 2/23/19.

Skill level:  Beginning – intermediate

All tools and materials will be provided.
