Foraging Natural Color: Drawing – A Four Part Workshop with Nathan Harper

February 1 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

For this four part workshop we will be focusing on how to produce works of drawing from materials we can find in our own back yards. From berries to beeswax and even dirt, each class will focus on a different material and how it can be used in relation to the discipline of Drawing. Sign up for the entire series for $100 (available only until night of first class) or sign up for individual classes for $35. Classes are four consecutive Friday nights from 6-8pm beginning February 1st.  

Week 1: Berry Inks

Week 2: Earth Pigments

Week 3: Beeswax Crayons

Week 4: Coffee and Tea Inks

About the instructor:

Nathan Harper is an artist and educator from Florence Alabama.  He received his BFA in Drawing and New Media from the University of Montevallo in 2017.  After graduation he began teaching visual art in Huntsville Alabama at New Century Technology high school. His work has been exhibited in galleries in Alabama and Ohio.
